About Me

Hi There & Welcome!

I am a Registered Nurse, Infection Prevention Practitioner, Certified Personal Trainer & Corrective Exercises Specialist. I have been married for twenty plus years to my college sweetheart, Rich.  We reside in Northern New Jersey with our four children and one golden doodle.

Eight years ago the age of 40, I underwent bilateral total knee replacement surgery, due to early onset osteoarthritis.

This page is a look back at my journey since then- my growth, my slip-ups, my victories.  It’s my story of how I went from hurting, both physically and mentally to becoming my own Hero.

My intent in sharing these experiences with you is many….

To help you decide if joint replacement is right for you, to let you know you are not alone in anything you do, from parenting to career aspirations and of course, family.

I plan to continue my own journey and healing by giving back- so many individuals have given to me, I appreciate and understand the importance of sharing “your story.” By nature of both of my professions I am a caregiver, I use my passion, drive, education and talents to help others through their journeys.

So many of my life experiences have shape my approach on everything. From training to life in general. My challenges have made me stronger, taught me how to adapt and grow and be brave.

There’s a quote I love by Mary Tyler Moore, “You can’t be brave if you’ve only had good wonderful things happen to you.” I choose to embrace my challenges, find the lessons and truly learn from them. I stopped asking “WHY ME?” and instead choose “TRY ME!” Give it a shot sometime…

I hope you find this page useful.  I look forward to sharing with you and for what the future will hold for OpportuKNEEty Knocks!

Happy Reading!
